During that same period more than 15,000 Palestinians and 350 Israelis were wounded, the United Nations said on Wednesday. Police said the motive for the attack remained unclear, and little was known about the attacker who had his face covered.

Camille, 71, who has been married to her husband for nearly 52 years, is also the 78-year-old’s business manager. Among other things, Cosby acknowledged that he had repeatedly pursued sex with younger, often-struggling models and actresses and that he obtained quaaludes to give to women he hoped to seduce.

Cosby claim: Charge politically motivated
It’s the first criminal case against Cosby over his conduct with women, which has received new scrutiny in the past year. The 78-year-old comedian previously said under oath that he had consensual sexual contact with the woman.

Around this same time, Cosby also was gaining fame through “The Bill Cosby Show” on television, in which he played a high school coach, and earlier had become the first African-American to star in a TV show, “I Spy”. In this case, Cosby had already offered an apology and money to Constand and her family over the incident before the case.

Judge David Hennessy rejected arguments by Cosby’s wife that she lacked first-hand knowledge of the events at issue, and that the court should protect her from “unnecessary harassment” by limiting the scope of the subpoena.

That’s the question on a lot of people’s minds this week after the comedian and formerly universally beloved actor was arrested and charged with felony aggravated indecent assault.

The case marks the first time Cosby has been charged with sexual misconduct despite years of lurid allegations and sets the stage for perhaps the biggest Hollywood celebrity trial of the mobile-news era.

“We don’t want a jury to say, ‘If he did it once before, he must have done it now, ‘” said Philadelphia attorney Jeffrey Lindy, who is unconnected to the Cosby case.

Constand, who worked for the women’s basketball team at Temple, where Cosby was a trustee and proud alumnus, said she was assaulted after going to his home in January 2004 for some career advice. Pressley said she expected prosecutors would try to establish a pattern of conduct against her client by bringing in allegations from his other accusers, but the defense would fight to keep such evidence out.

Mr Cosby, best known for his role in the the long-running and hugely successful The Cosby Show sit-com, was not asked to enter a plea when he appeared his court.
