He and his staff put together a great plan for the Belk Bowl, and that was on full display on Wednesday. Fred Ross led all wide receivers, with 12 catches for 117 yards.
It looked like NC State had all the momentum, but on the next drive, Prescott calmly led the MSU offense on another scoring drive to build the lead back to two scores, 28-14. He ran 17 yards on his second play from scrimmage and opened the fourth quarter with a 5-yard touchdown run on his third. For the season Prescott accounted for 35 touchdowns and nearly 4,000 yards of total offense. To fall behind 21-0 early in the second quarter was inexcusable and ultimately too big of a hole to climb out from. He ended the game with 67 yards on 26 carries. He is averaging 5.9 yards per carry.

North Carolina State ended previous year with a road rout of rival North Carolina followed by a win against UCF in the St. Petersburg Bowl, finishing 8-5 for a five-win improvement.
