A spokesman for the German police told AFP: “We still have many colleagues deployed”.

In the meantime, both stations have reopened after security agencies combed the areas.
The central Hauptbahnhof station and western Pasing station were shut down and special police units with automatic weapons were sent to guard the entrances.
German police lifted their imminent attack alert in Munich on Friday afternoon.
Nevertheless, the police chief refuted speculation that the threat was a false alarm, saying that “if there is such information, we have to act”. They had yet to confirm, they said, whether the names they had received were correct or, indeed, whether the suspects were real people. “We’re working hard right now to try to establish the whereabouts of these people named and whether they are in Germany or Europe”.
Police were tipped off by a foreign intelligence service that ISIS was planning attacks with five to seven suicide bombers but there have not yet been any arrests. He warned, however, that the overall terror threat in Europe remained high.
The investigation revealed “the threat of serious attacks that would target several emblematic places in Brussels and be committed during the end-of-year holidays”, the prosecutor’s office said. On Friday, 100 additional officers were still on duty, Andrae said.
Thomas de Maiziere, interior minister in the federal government of chancellor Angela Merkel, said: “The situation in Europe and also in Germany remains serious in the New Year”.
The Met confirmed police holidays were cancelled for the New Year’s Eve celebrations meaning all available staff were called upon.
“Current indications that a terrorist attack is planned in Munich”, the police said on Twitter in German.
Living with terror threats in Germany has become the “new normal”, according to one of the country’s top policemen after a tip-off over a planned suicide bombing saw train stations in Munich evacuated on New Year’s Eve.
Andrae defended the authorities’ decision to introduce a high security level in the city – despite the fact that no arrests have yet been made – due to the short notice of the tip-off.

Security forces in many capitals were on raised alert after a year of militant attacks, including an attack on Paris in November that killed 130 and was claimed by Islamic State (IS). The information included the names of several suspects, said Herrmann, who did not provide additional details.
