For now, that is a worry for another day, as the Ole Miss faithful will be closing down the French Quarter and celebrating long into the night as the Rebels mark their first Sugar Bowl win since 1970 and their first 10-win season since Eli Manning’s senior season of 2003.

The quarterback this time around was Chad Kelly, who tied a Sugar Bowl record with four touchdown passes. Additionally, Kelly completed 21 of 33 passes, as well as running for 73 yards on 10 carries. They then had some disappointing setbacks, a blowout loss on the road against Florida, a loss on the road at Memphis, and a one point defeat against Arkansas.
But take heed, Buckeye fans, there is potential for this story to come full-circle: the Fiesta Bowl is a College Football Playoff semifinal next season.

He also led the SEC in passing yards. “I don’t watch a lot of football on the West Coast and the East Coast, but man for man they could be as talented as a team as anybody in the country”.
