Browns not commenting on report of Manziel trip to Vegas
Manziel was not going to play Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers because he’s in the NFL’s protocol on head injuries.

USA TODAY reported that Manziel paid cash for a meal at a restaurant in the casino, according to Tina Samira, a waitress who served Manziel and his guests at Heart Bar at Planet Hollywood.
Manziel allegedly was spotted at Las Vegas’ Planet Hollywood casino which of course spread to twitter thanks to John Hornacek who tweeted that Manziel’s name was announced once he sat down at a black jack table.
Several media outlets, including NFL.com, are reporting that the decision has already been made and that Pettine will go immediately after the regular season ends.
Pettine will apparently coach Sunday’s game against the Steelers, which is set to kick off at 1:00 p.m. ET from FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland. He posted a generic photo of him with his dog, adding the hashtag “SaturdayNights”.
One person certainly wondering what is on Haslam’s mind is head coach Mike Pettine, who has dealt with rumors of his impending firing nearly since he took over the job.
Cleveland Browns vice president of communications Peter John Baptiste would not confirm for USA TODAY Sports whether Manziel was in Cleveland, or if club policy dictated that an inactive player’s attendance was required at Sunday’s game.
“They’ll try to flip him for a low draft choice – fifth-round, sixth-round pick – Dallas would be a likely destination, but I think you can understand that there’s disappointment with the way this all worked out”.
“I want to make sure all our players are in good shape as people first, players second”.

During the season, Manziel, who spent 73 days in a Pennsylvania inpatient rehabilitation facility specializing in alcohol and drug addiction treatment last winter, was questioned by police in Avon, Ohio, following an in-car fight with his girlfriend. Because I don’t think you can be as effective as you can be as a player if things aren’t right off the field.
