Vardy and Mahrez going nowhere says Ranieri
Bournemouth’s Steve Cook, centre, is shown a red card by referee Andre Marriner after a foul on Leicester’s Jamie Vardy, left, during the English Premier League soccer match between Leicester City and Bournemouth at the King Power Stadium in Leicester, England, Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016.

Bournemouth’s defeat at Arsenal on Monday ended a six-match unbeaten run that lifted them out of the relegation zone, but they bounced back impressively with a gritty display that leaves them four points above the bottom three.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that Demari Gray has decided to make the move to the Premier League side and will join the club for a reported fee of £3.75 million. He said: “We’ll try to do the same – as we’ve achieved 39 points then we’d like to achieve 40 points – one point more”.
Jamie Vardy, who set a Premier League record earlier in the season for scoring in 11 consecutive games, hit the post while Algerian midfield maestro Riyad Mahrez had a penalty saved in the 59th minute.
Leicester look to continue their success when the second half of their league campaign kicks off with a home game against AFC Bournemouth on Saturday and Albrighton is aiming high. A breakthrough should have come in the 58th minute when a super pass sent Vardy in down the middle only for Francis to slide in with the tackle and appear to win the ball before Vardy spilled across him in the box.
“Forty points was the first goal, we achieved this”. For me, Simon has a hard job there.
Ranieri said: “Of course I am disappointed but if I analyse all the match, they played well in the first half”.
The Bournemouth captain and Vardy chased after Danny Drinkwater’s through ball, and with Vardy winning the race, Francis made a sliding challenge, bringing down the Foxes man. “That was my opinion live and it still is after seeing it on the replays”, said Howe.
King only had Kasper Schmeichel to beat after Stanislas had diverted Francis’ cross back across goal, but he did not get enough on his header and failed to find the target as a golden opportunity went begging.
“But he has come from the side, from a reverse angle, and got a clear touch on the ball. We tried to do our best and tonight it wasn’t possible but I’m so pleased with our performance so far”, he told Sky Sports television.

“No matter how we got it, I think is definitely a point gained and I have to compliment my players”.
