The handset’s housing is stronger than aluminum, steel and even titanium, so “Bendgate” certainly won’t be an issue here.

The Turing phone is also extraordinarily waterproof, thanks to a nano-coating on the internals.
With just one more trick up its sleeve, the 5.5 inch, 16GB entry-level model storage offers a built-in “Turing coin”, a cryptocurrency that developer Syl Chao jokes can potentially increase the value of the phone post-purchase. At 9.05mm the phone is pretty sleek and features Corning Gorilla Glass IV protection on a Binnacle Ocean Master IPx8 water proof body. Located where a microSD card might normally be is the Turing Imitation Key, added hardware that algorithmically encrypts the user’s data as he’s using the phone. But the circuitboard itself is covered with the nanoparticle treatment, which causes the water molecules to simply “bounce” off of it. Another welcome feature of the Turing phone is its side-mounted fingerprint reader, which makes for more ergonomic authentication than the front-mounted TouchID sensor on Apple’s iPhone. “This is the marketplace that the Turing Phone is in”. The sleek minimalism employed in the design unfortunately means there’s no USB port nor headphone slot, rather a proprietary jack takes the place of both in a backpedalled stray from the trend toward device universalism. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Turing Aemaeth UI, and comes in three colour variants – Pharaoh, Cardinal, and Beowulf. The 64GB version will cost $740, and the 128GB version will cost $870.

The Turing Phone from San Francisco-based Turing Robotic Industries is not only built with an almost unbreakable, stronger-than-steel amorphous “liquid metal” body made from Liquidmorphium which is an alloy of zirconium, copper, aluminium, nickel and silver, but it also comes with end-to-end encryption built into nearly of its core apps to keep out third parties and nosy servers. But that’s where its similarities to other phones end. People were like, ‘Why do I need that?’ But then they were standardized.
