Bill Cosby’s wife Camille ordered to testify against husband in civil
This past week, the patriarch of The Cosby Show was arrested on charges of sexual assault in Philadelphia by 44-year-old Andrea Constand, a former basketball manager at Temple University. According to court documents, Camille Cosby’s lawyers sought to quash the order to testify at the deposition, citing Massachusetts’ marital disqualification law, “or in the alternative, a protective order limiting its scope”.

Unnamed family insiders claimed Ms Cosby was aware of her husband’s indiscretions, and had asked him to be discreet and not to shame her.
But as the list of alleged victims swelled to more than 50, Camille “was sickened”, another family source said.
Presiding magistrate, Judge David Hennessy, rejected Ms Cosby’s argument for exemption. She is scheduled to be deposed by lawyers for the women on Wednesday.
The couple have been married for more than 50 years and Camille is her husband’s business partner.
A source added: “But, she has been thoroughly humiliated and believe me, her anger isn’t directed at the women”.
The seven women filed the suit because Cosby portrayed them as liars after they publicly accused him of assaulting them, and in the case. Billboard reports that Camille Cosby’s motion requesting the voiding of a subpoena for her to testify was denied. Cosby, who denies wrongdoing, has countersued the women, saying their accusations damaged his reputation, further accusing them of making false allegations for financial gain.
Earlier in December, Cosby launched a defamation countersuit against the women.

The 78-year-old comedian turned himself in to police and was arraigned in a Montgomery County courthouse before being released on Dollars 1 million bail. Lark Voorhies, best known for playing Lisa Turtle on Saved by the Bell, is the latest to offer her views-and she’s definitely not a fan. It was sent on New Year’s Eve from Cosby’s Twitter account.
