A federal judge has denied a request by lawyers for Camille Cosby, Bill Cosby’s wife of more than 50 years, to be excused from an upcoming deposition for a civil case against the famed comedian. Although Camille’s lawyer argued that the things she discussed with Bill should be considered private conversations and “privileged”, that notion was struck down.

Cosby Accusers’ Lawyer: More Women Have Come Forward
Prosecutors in Pennsylvania are set to announce whether Bill Cosby will be charged over an encounter with a woman 12 years ago. Cosby acknowledged under oath a decade ago that he had sexual contact with Ms Constand, but said it was consensual.

The said affidavit filed against Bill Cosby claims the actor’s alleged drugging and sexually assaulting to a former Temple University employee, Andrea Constand.

Cosby countersued, saying that by accusing him of sexual assault, they hurt his reputation and derailed plans for his new family comedy on NBC.

Attorneys for Camille Cosby moved to quash a deposition order, claiming the law protects spouses from having to testify against each other.

Cosby, who was arraigned the day before on charges stemming from a 2004 incident, was released on $1 million bail after a short court appearance.

Since the number of accusations against the legendary comedian has grown, Camille Cosby continuously.

Cosby has filed a countersuit against the women, accusing them of making false allegations for financial gain.

Constand said in 2005 that after she and Cosby became friends he invited her to his home in Pennsylvania, where he made multiple sexual advances over time.

“The man I met, and fell in love with, and whom I continue to love, is the man you all knew through his work”, she said.

If found guilty, Cosby could face up to 10 years in prison and a $25,000 fine.
