The Pasadena Tournament of Roses and National Park Service have formed an alliance in honor of the National Park Service’s centennial in 2016, which prompted the parade’s theme for the year.

Sugar Bowl: Treadwell, Kelly lead Ole Miss to win vs Oklahoma State
With time running out in the second quarter, Ole Miss pulled out another trick play near the Oklahoma State goal line. Prior to that, junior receiver Laquon Treadwell caught a pair of touchdowns from Kelly for gains of 34 and 10 yards.

Another wrote: “Early 2016 MVP candidate: whoever’s behind the “Trump is a fascist” and “Trump is disgusting” Rose Parade skywriting”. Sure, this was a lengthy advertisement for a theme park, but it’s the new year!

Browns don’t know if Manziel made trip to Vegas
The Steelers didn’t have Le’Veon Bell for a wild-card game past year after the star back injured his knee in Week 17. The team announced the moves Sunday night after it fell 28-12 to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the season finale.

The temperature at the parade’s start barely topped 40 degrees but spectators were shedding layers as the sun lit up the bright floats woven together with roses, carnations and other flowers.

You feel like you’re letting teammates down. “Even when I’m not playing well, I tell the truth about things”. You may be shocked to find the Packers passing attack ranked in the bottom half of the league.

It’s New Year’s Day, so you know what that means – the Rose Parade!

Authorities said the event would be held under unprecedented security, although there were no known threats.

The parade route this year will see the floats travel from the corner of Green Street and Orange Grove Boulevard in Pasadena.

Though more than 53 million people are expected to watch on TV, and more than 700,000 attend in person, there are still some detractors who took to social media to rain on the New Year’s Day parade. The grand marshal is filmmaker Ken Burns, who produced the Emmy-award winning series “The National Parks: America’s Best Idea”.

Selby noted the December 2 terror attack that killed 14 people in San Bernardino, 60 miles east of Los Angeles, but he emphasized that the Rose Parade’s massive security preparations began more than a year ago.

The 44 floats included an entry paying homage to the City of Hope medical center that was built by and featured athlete cancer survivors.

Later on Friday, Iowa – a team from the first caucus state – will play Stanford in the 102nd Rose Bowl game. Pasadena officials tightened security and promised “increased visible and non-visible enhanced security measures” along the nine-kilometer parade route.

Mark Selby, deputy special agent in charge of Homeland Security Investigations in Los Angeles and the federal coordinator for the Rose Parade and security, said the plan involved unprecedented resources and technologies. Sure, it is extremely over the top, but did you really think that we were going to get something different for a float celebrating this show?
