The wafer-thin 18-inch screen can be rolled up like a newspaper and tucked into your rucksack. It’s not even a week into the New Year and we are possibly hearing that the game-changing technologies would be demoed to the world pretty soon.
The company is reportedly working displays that could roll up into your pockets or being made to wrap around interior spaces.
A ideal match for folding smartphones or tablets, or more adventurous gadget form factors (a fly swatter that doubles up as a TV, anyone?), it’s the latest step in LG Display’s push to make OLED its class-leading screen tech.
That also means that they can not rest on their laurels because the competition is so stiff, and it looks like LG has some new display technology up their sleeves that they are planning on showing off at CES 2016. The screen integrates LG’s forward thinking OLED, which is a type of LED display that is highly flexible. LG Display, the division working on R & D related to the screen technologies would be showcasing how this technology would work. Naturally, we’ll be there to bring you all the lastest coverage.
The 8K TV will have a 98 inch screen.

And now, despite CES 2016’s rapid shift towards more tech you find on the inside of your vehicle and cars of the future, LG says that it will give its 18in foldable screen its full debut.
