Weather service forecasts sunny start to the week

The National Weather Service says temperatures overnight Sunday into Monday will drop into the 20s. “High temperatures will rise into the mid-50s”. Well, welcome to the freezing temperatures of 2016. “We’re expecting plenty of sunshine as we go through the day”, he said.

Monday offers snow with a high near 13 and a low around 9.

Brief pockets of heavy snow are possible for parts of south central OH, where some areas could see up to an inch of snow, according to the weather service.

Temperatures will dip to a low around 19 degrees this evening, with mostly cloudy skies.

Temperatures dawned Monday morning right around 28 degrees, said the National Weather Service, with a wind chill down in the teens.

Wednesday is expected to be sunny and warmer with a high of 37 and a low around 22.

The work week starts out more typically Florida winter with sunny skies and cool temps with highs in the mid 60s for a couple of days.

December’s average mean temperature of 44.4 degrees shattered the old record of 38.7 degrees set in 1923.
