Madhya Pradesh Youth Congress today burnt an effigy of Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to protest the Pathankot Air Force base terror attack in Punjab, suspected to have been carried out by members of an outfit based in the neighbouring country.

“The Indian Prime Minister came to Lahore and gave us his few hours”.

Modi sprang a surprise with a 150-minute visit to Lahore last month.

Mr Modi and Mr Sharif in recent months had had three meetings.

The decision to cut down foreign visits will help Modi concentrate more on domestic issues and upcoming budget session of parliament. Dixit said that Prime Minister should answer till when the country will face such terrorist attacks.

According to the senior official, who doesn’t want his name published, the foreign travels counteracted a belief that the Prime Minister can not handle the Indian neighborhood as he was projected by his detractors as a right-wing leader.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Wednesday said his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi demonstrated goodwill by undertaking Lahore visit on December 25, which will help pave the way for resolving bilateral issues. Sources say that Modi has directed External Affair Ministry to keep his 2016 foreign tour plan to minimum.
