A good year to be a wild card in NFL playoffs
The Steelers were thought of as one of the most feared teams heading into the playoffs a couple of weeks ago. The fourth game is rated at even, meaning none of the home teams are favored in the first round of the NFL’s postseason.

The Cincinnati Bengals and the Pittsburgh Steelers face off on Saturday at Paul Brown Stadium in an AFC NFL Wildcard Playoff match up. They finished strong, with six wins in their last seven games despite the loss of running back Marshawn Lynch and then his rookie lookalike Thomas Rawls.
On the season, the Pittsburgh Steelers average 287.7 yards in passing and 107.8 yards in rushing. The Bengals are coming from a 24-16 win over the Baltimore Ravens.
Bengals spokesman Jack Brennan announced Monday morning just before 10 that single tickets for the game are sold out. The opening line has the Steelers as 1-point favorites, but depending on which sports book you check, some have the spread as high as 2.5-points, in favor of the visiting Steelers. The three teams they could end up facing are the Kansas City Chiefs, New York Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Minnesota Vikings (11-5) won the NFC North title in the final regular-season game of the year Sunday night when they outlasted the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field, 20-13. McCarron and will be desperate for good news about Andy Dalton’s status.

The Pittsburgh Steelers will take their show on the road for the rest of the season, and their first stop is in Cincinnati to play their division rivals. With one of the best offenses in the league, it was widely believed that the Steelers would be able to handle some of the weak Wild Card teams that the AFC has to offer. “I opened the game a pick, and it quickly shot up to Steelers -2, as the bettors laid the prices as if they were stealing money”, Lester said. But Houston (9-7 SU and ATS) claimed the division and the No. 4 seed by winning and cashing in its last three games, including a 30-6 rout of Jacksonville on Sunday laying 5.5 points at home. Granted, those two teams were lucky enough to earn byes.
