On Boxing Day, ISIS social media accounts released a 24-minute audio recording in which Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi presumably tries reassuring listeners that the organization remains strong despite losses in Iraq and Syria.

“We promise you, God permitting, that whoever participates in the war against Islamic State will pay the price dearly”, al-Baghdadi said.

Al-Baghdadi was dismissive of the newly announced Islamic alliance against terrorism, led by Saudi Arabia.

“Jews, soon you shall hear from us in Palestine, which will become your grave”, Baghdadi reportedly said.

He also repeated calls for Muslims worldwide to travel to Isis-held territories and join the group.

After the hype died down, El-Baghdadi tweeted a picture showcasing the difference between him and the real terrorist leader. Allah will not forget it. Soon soon, with Allah: “Listen to the boiling emotions of jihad fighters”, he added.

“They do not dare to come because their hearts are full of fear from the mujahideen” thanks to their experiences in Afghanistan and Iraq, Baghdadi says.

It also came amid what has been dubbed the “stabbing intifada” in Israel and the West Bank that has left dozens of Israelis and scores of Palestinians dead or wounded.

He taunted the Saudi-led alliance, saying if it were truly Islamic it would fight the Syrian army, the Russians, as well as Shiites and Jews.

“It is a dream that they can take out Islamic State through their airstrikes”.

The terror leader also called on Saudi citizens to “rise up” against their government and dismissed the kingdom’s newly formed Muslim coalition against the caliphate, the Telegraph reported.

In the recording, al-Baghdadi also condemned Saudi Arabia’s involvement in establishing a coalition of Muslim nations to fight his group. Baghdadi made his first and last public appearances in the summer of 2014 in the Iraqi city of Mosul – which remains in the iron grasp of ISIS.

Last week, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), backed by the US and allies, recaptured the Tishreen Dam on the Euphrates River, further impeding Islamic State access to the Turkish border through the town of Manbij.
