The Eagles finished third, fourth and 13th in points scored in Kelly’s three seasons with the franchise. By this time, the fans still had faith in what Kelly was doing, but more and more skepticism was becoming apparent as the team got ready for the preseason.

There has already been speculation about who could replace Kelly in Philadelphia and it appears the team has already begun the search process. Rhodes had the following starting quarterbacks: Randall Cunningham (as his Eagles career was ending), Rodney Peete, Ty Detmer, Bobby Hoying, and Koy Detmer. So why is everyone so down on him this year? With the No. 2 overall selection in the 1999 draft, he didn’t pick Ricky Williams, or Cade McNown, or Akili Smith, or even Daunte Culpepper. Pederson has spent the last three seasons as the Chiefs’ offensive coordinator on Andy Reid’s staff.
Then again, the New York Giants should theoretically be playing their hearts out for Tom Coughlin, who is likely to leave after the season and here they are, getting rolled over by DeMarco Murray.
With their win today, the Philadelphia Eagles won on a few different levels.
The total has gone over in five of the Eagles’ last six games (Courtesy: OddsShark). There’s nothing to basically base that on. “But to win 10 games his first two years says a lot about what he’s able to do and says a lot about his coaching”.
But Lurie is misreading history and reality there. Maybe the Eagles use him in similar fashion next season. This is not to suggest that the Eagles should have kept McNabb beyond 2009; his skills were clearly in decline.
The Eagles passing game took most of the season to get in sorts but it finally began to click a little at the end of the season.
“Jimmy [Tomsula] has been a valuable member of the 49ers organization for the last nine years”, York said in a statement.
Brandon: I wasn’t totally surprised that Kelly was sacked. So you have get a good picture of what those first 15 plays are like. They were all lacking, and they contributed to his firing. Whoever is the next head coach should really make an effort figuring out how to equally incorporate the trio of Matthews, Sproles, and Murray.
With his contract now expiring, the Eagles are without a head coach and starting quarterback.
“The longer I was out there the more comfortable I became”, Bradford said Sunday.

Or, you can just find the right quarterback. When Tomsula was hired January 14, 2015, the move was viewed skeptically around the league, given that Tomsula had never been more than a position coach in the NFL. We wish the man luck on his search.
