Mummers Parade Mocks Bruce Jenner in Comedy Sketch Singing ‘Dude Looks

The legendary Mummers Parade – the biggest New Year’s Day event in Philadelphia – just skewered Caitlyn Jenner.

The act featured a man dressed as Olympic gold medalist Bruce Jenner in front of the famous Wheaties box with Bruce on the front.

It wasn’t long, however, before he transformed into a version of today’s Caitlyn Jenner, as Aerosmith’s “Dude Looks Like a Lady” blared from loudspeakers.

In the one semi-decent thing to come out of this disgusting display, the incoming mayor of Philadelphia, Jim Kenney, condemned the display, saying, “Our trans citizens do not deserve this type of satire/insult”.

The video, which showed an unidentified Finnegan NYB member yelling “F- the gays” as he marched along Broad Street on Friday, was taken by New York Daily News editor Nick Kurczewski.

The Associated Press reported that a local gay man, John Holtz, 28, said he was called gay slurs and assaulted by the group while walking his parents’ dog. ‘They were calling me faggot, calling me gay’.

They also have banned a member of one of the parade’s performance groups.

A group of parade marchers in Philadelphia drew the ire of LGBT groups and the mayor with a comedy skit that mocked Caitlyn Jenner.

Holtz said he went over to confront the men, they started attacking him, and one of the four men “clocked him in the face”.

A group of nearby cops asked if he’d like to file a report, but Holtz declined because it is impossible to make an identification.

Inemer said he did not know whether Finnegan NYB members were involved in the incident with Holtz. The Sammar Strutters’ dressed up as tacos, in brown face paint.

Before apologizing, the Finnegan NYB group tweeted a photo of a Mummer holding a sign that read “Mummers Lives Matter” – an apparent reference to the Black Lives Matter group that has protested the deaths of blacks at the hands of police in various parts of the country.

The Philadelphia Mummers Parade is known for featuring unique costumes, music, and pageantry.

They carried the signs in the parade as about 50 protesters from representing the actual movement demonstrated on the sidewalk.

The incidents during this year’s parade occurred even after organizers created the “Philadelphia Division”, which was meant to diversify the parade with two new Hispanic performance groups, a black drill team and the LGBT Miss Fancy Brigade. ‘Hurtful to many Philadelphians.
