Powerball jackpot soars to $450 million

On Saturday, three players each won a million dollars. Two players bought tickets that turned out to be worth $50,000, matching four of the first five numbers and the Powerball. The chance of winning the jackpot is about one in 292 million.

Tickets for Wednesday’s drawing can be purchased until 10 p.m. Wednesday at any Connecticut Lottery retailer.

Tonight’s Mega Millions drawing will be for a $145 million jackpot and tonight’s Natural State Jackpot is at $45,000. The winning numbers were 09-11-14-16-42, and the Powerball number was 19. According to the official Powerball website, the game starts at $40 million and then keeps on going until it’s won.

The last time the Powerball jackpot reached such a high sum was February 2015, when the total rounded off at $564.1 million. With Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot now at $400,000,000, NY will see even more winners across the state. It was sold with the $1 Power Play option, which boosted the prize to $2 million. Each Powerball play is $2.

Winners have 180 days from the drawing to claim their prize. In Pennsylvania, tickets are sold until 9:59 p.m. on drawing nights, Wednesday and Saturday.
