Samsung’s Gear S2 smartwatch will support iOS sometime this year
Android and Tizen would work, sure, but not the most popular smartphone on the planet – the iPhone.

Samsung claims leadership the wearable category, and while we somehow doubt the veracity of that claim, its Gear S2 range is certainly a contender. It would appear that the time is getting ripe.
During its CES 2016 press conference in Las Vegas, the company dropped the bombshell but didn’t elaborate, so we don’t yet know when exactly support will be added.
The Gear S2 isn’t the only smartwatch to cater to a crowd that demands a little more luxury out of their tech.
Now if only we could see the extra-simplification of app transfer from one platform to the other.
The Gear S2 also features a dial around the display similar to a diver’s watch as a way to move between menus and apps, an alternative to the physical crown that the Apple Watch employs. Not to be confused for the regular Gear S2, which has the sportier look, the Gear S2 Classic is the one, which has a dimple-like pattern around its face and the classy leather bands.

Samsung noted that its rose gold smartwatch, a hue that has increased considerably in popularity over the past few months, will come with a white leather strap; the platinum version will retain the existing black strap that now ships with the stainless steel Gear S2 Classic.
