Durant tows Thunder past Hornets
Forward Kevin Durant had his ninth double-double of the season with 29 points and 11 rebounds, and the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Charlotte Hornets 109-90 on Saturday night in a matchup of teams headed in opposite directions. Rajon Rondo added 15 points and 15 assists.

Instead of grinding his way through traffic to the basket, Durant looks over the top of the defense and hits Serge Ibaka with the ideal pass as Ibaka nails a corner 3-pointer.
The Thunder and Hornets combined for 71 free throws.
Walker led the Thunder with 32 points on 10-of-24 shooting, and along with Lin brought the Hornets to being behind by two points in the third quarter.
Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant will miss Monday’s game against the Sacramento Kings with a sprained right big toe, and Durant is also doubtful to play in Wednesday’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies, according to Anthony Slater of The Oklahoman.
The Thunder went up 21-6 on Durant’s jumper with 5 minutes left in the first quarter. He finished the night with a modest eight points and three rebounds, but left the game in the fourth quarter after slicing the middle finger on his right hand. The Kings snapped a three-game losing streak by recording a season high for points in a 142-119 rout of the Phoenix Suns on Saturday. Also had a season-best seven blocked shots. Including last night’s game, Walker is averaging 27.4 points per game over the last five outings, the highest scoring average among National Basketball Association point guards during that stretch.
With 10 games on tap, both the Toronto Raptors and the Miami Heat will be playing their second consecutive game and their third in four nights. Charlotte fell to 4-14 when failing to reach 100 points this season. The two have combined to be honored nine times in the past 14 months. The Kings are 5-2-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings in Oklahoma City.
Adams managed to put up 15 points and 10 rebounds, but he played just 26 minutes due to foul trouble.
Hometown take:, “Interim head coach Luke Walton laughed as he said he hadn’t thought about how the Rockets game could be his last sitting in the lead chair for the Warriors”.

The Thunder held Charlotte to just 35 percent field goal shooting and outrebounded the Hornets 53-34. Sacramento has never posted a victory in Oklahoma City, with its last road win in the series occurring on March 30, 2008, when the Thunder franchise was still known as the Seattle SuperSonics. When we start to get our defense going again, then we’ll win again.
