The incident occurred towards the end of a game at Neshaminy High School on the 2000 block of Old Lincoln Highway in Langhorne.

According to a report from City of Basketball Love’s Josh Verlin, Neshaminy coach Jerry Devine headbutted a referee during the closing moments of Tuesday night’s game against Pennsbury.
A Pennsylvania high school basketball coach may have surpassed the French soccer star for most violent head-butt following a disputed call during a game Tuesday night.
“The coach went insane”, Ermer said. But as he did it, he was off balance and went down.
According to the school’s website, Devine has coached the school’s boys basketball team for 10 years and teaches history and algebra courses. Threw his head towards the ref…… Devine was ejected from the game after the incident.

The Middletown Township Police Department is investigating the incident, but there was no initial word on any charges against Devine. As this is a personnel matter, we will not be able to comment on the specifics of any possible disciplinary action until that review process is complete.
