Mississippi coach Hugh Freeze supports changing state flag
“Old times there are not forgotten”.

The preseason All-SEC team was voted by all media members in attendance at SEC Media Day in Hoover, Alabama. The move took place after a mass shooting in June in Charleston that was racially motivated. The nickname Rebels, however, is still used at Ole Miss.
I don’t think there was any sort of malicious intent to avoiding a question about the Confederate flag, but he avoided contributing to change.
It was the third straight season the Rebels increased their win total, and proves coach Hugh Freeze has the program on the rise as he heads into his fourth season. Unfortunately, that symbol has been hijacked by some groups that mean ill-will toward some people.
As for the school’s “Rebels” moniker, Freeze didn’t rule out changing it either.
On July 10, at Lafayette County Justice Court in Oxford, Mississippi, Miller claimed that he told his wife, Desiree Tunsil, that he was “sick and exhausted of [Laremy Tunsil] riding around with agents and taking things” and “told her that was stupid”, based on a report from Rivals.com. Media members picked the Rebels to finish fifth in the SEC Western Division. I’m very confident, like I said, in the way we do things and what we can control.
Graduated from the University of Florida. “We’re so diverse they have a Yankee as a head football coach in the Southeastern Conference”, he said Tuesday. “It’s a constant reminder of what was and what, in their minds, still should be”.
And that was two decades ago.
But it came back to the flag.
“We can’t recruit against the Confederate flag”, Tuberville said. The school also had a long tradition where fans waved Confederate flags at sporting events, which was banned in 1997.
“I’m not a political figure, nor do I want to be, but when you ask me where I stand on it, I think it’s time to move in another direction”. There are so many teams that are just spread, and they’re going fast. But let’s not stop now.
Hugh Freeze remains supportive of Ole Miss left tackle Laremy Tunsil and his mother following a domestic dispute between Tunsil and his stepfather, Lindsey Miller, which led to multiple NCAA accusations being made against the university and its star offensive lineman. Both Rebels were influential in the first victory over a No. 1 ranked team in Ole Miss football history. Johnson said Thursday. “For me personally, growing up in Philadelphia, Miss., where in the past there has been a lot of racism, particularly in the ’80s and early ’90s, I really feel like it should come down. I do think that it has been associated with people that have meant some harm and ill will”.

According to Freeze, the recovery has gone extremely well – as has Denzel Nkemdiche’s ankle – and he’s even lost some weight to become more explosive.
