Premier League insists Tottenham Hotspur can not play season in two stadiums
The Premier League’s executive chairman, Richard Scudamore, said the most logical place for Spurs to play the 2017-18 season was Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium – though he acknowledged the level of opposition this might bring. Clubs have to be able to deliver 19 home games in the slots that are required.

But Scudamore has no objections to Spurs sharing Wembley with Chelsea – who also plan a new stadium – if it can be done. They’d have to play in the same stadium for the entire year. That won’t be allowed in our competition.
“So if they share with a Rugby League club, we can’t be fettered as to when those clubs can play”.
Tottenham face competition from Chelsea to play at Wembley as the west London club are seeking to redevelop Stamford Bridge, with building work due to begin as early as 2017.
Wembley is Levy’s preferred choice for that season.
Premier League supremo Richard Scudamore has stressed that the rules of the competition will not allow the fixture list to be twisted out of shape by the limited availability of one venue.
“You can’t have 19 homes games with 10 at Milton Keynes and nine at Wembley – completely unfair”, the 55-year-old said.
However, the same issue as with Stadium:mk will be the number of home matches. If it comes down to money, Chelsea wins easily. The answer is no. The answer is no for the reason that everybody knows, there is huge resistance among the United Kingdom fan base, the traditional fan base, and therefore until, and this might never never change, and unless the attitudes change towards that, it’s almost impossible to see how you would play a game for points overseas.
“So it’s perfectly possible to have two teams playing in one stadium”. Whatever Spurs do decide to do one thing is for sure, both derby games at the Emirates stadium would be a truly feisty affair. It opens up the possibility of stupid Tottenham fans causing damage to the stadium because, well, a few fans are stupid. Not to mention there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of upside for Arsenal to agree to this favor to their biggest rivals. Tottenham has two seasons to find a secondary home.

Neither option is good, and it wouldn’t take much for the FA to make the situation better. They were told to go move in with Arsenal instead.
