Emmy voters have officially gotten on Lee Daniels’ bad side.

The hit show scored only three Emmy nods, for series star Taraji P. Henson as best actress, and two in the costume categories. According to Variety, the show had been considered a contender in the best drama category along with lead actor Terrence Howard.

Creator Lee Daniels apparently had some thoughts about that, which he shared in an Instagram video post he tagged #canfinallypostthis, #timetoberealagain and #emmyniceguyoverwith. Smollett chuckles uncomfortably, and urges Daniels to “be nice” before Daniels suddenly shouts “F-k these motherf-kers!” and breaks into a huge laugh. “F**k these motherf***ers!” Congratulations. Now bring that mother home for big daddy.

The video features Daniels and star Jussie Smollett, who appear to just be joking around, as Daniels explains, “Jussie’s saying I have to be politically correct on Instagram“.

“Some of these people ain’t got nothin’ better to do than to hate on me for having fun”, he said in a new video. While “Empire” Season 2 premieres Wednesday, September 23, at 9 p.m. ET.
