If they were just trying to get through the day and into the playoffs with their guys no worse off than they were before, then running the ball on third-and-long from start to finish and putting Brady in bubble wrap would have been the play. In terms of health, they are not in the best of shape, and in terms of performance, they have not been playing particularly strong football as of late.
