If the crisis rages, it will affect all nations, the Iraqi diplomat warned.
On Sunday, protesters attacked the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Tehran and the country’s General Consulate in Mashhad, following the Saturday execution of a prominent Shia cleric by Saudia Arabia.
In response to a Saudi letter, the U.N. Security Council late Monday strongly condemned the attacks by Iranian protesters on Saudi diplomatic posts.
Tension between Saudi Arabia and Iran has not had any effect on overall anti-Daesh campaign, but could, a top USA envoy said Tuesday.
The president also said those who remained silent about the deaths of people in Syria’s civil war were causing an uproar over the execution of one person in Saudi Arabia, apparently referring to Iran though he did not name names.

The President once again deemed the attack on Saudi diplomatic buildings in Tehran and Mashahd “wrong and unlawful”, calling on the ministries of Intelligence and Interior to take decisive measures concerning the officials who might have failed in their duties to manage the rally.
The executions drew aggressive backlash in Tehran, where protestors attacked the Saudi embassy.
The Nuclear accord had been a potential game-changer in the region, with Iran no longer an automatic pariah in the West. This in turn has led to Saudi Arabia trying to forge new alliances, such as its anti-terror coalition.
But Russia appears more willing to get involved; it has announced that is ready to mediate between Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Commerce between Iran and the countries that have severed relations is low, according to official figures released Tuesday by economic daily Donaye Eghtesad. The sultanate has been a long-time mediator between Iran and the rest of the world and helped jumpstart negotiations for the nuclear deal with global powers reached a year ago. Iranian police say at least 50 people already have been arrested over the attack.
