CES 2016 Debuted the First Bluetooth Pregnancy Pro Test by First Response

True, it basically does what any other pregnancy test will do, though the app (available on iOS and Android) comes with a few helpful instructions that a traditional test doesn’t.

Pregnant or not? A new First Response Bluetooth pregnancy test with app lets your phone deliver the news. The Calm Me option will show you meditation or breathing exercises, for example, while the Entertain Me button brings up some amusing videos from Buzzfeed. First Response, the makers of the popular pregnancy tests, just unveiled an app that will tell you whether or not you’re pregnant.

There’s no need to go to some weird bar in Minnesota or hit up eBay the next time you need to find out if you’re pregnant or not-your iPhone can take care of that (sort of).

USA Today reports that the company bills the product as the “first ever smart Bluetooth pregnancy test”, and says it’s created to provide women with a personalised experience that will help allay any concerns over pregnancy testing.

Many devices presented at CES this year were somehow connected to health and First Response launched a pregnancy test which shows result on smartphone.

Of course, the app will continue to work even if the user doesn’t buy a test stick and conduct a test. It offers informative features such as menstrual cycle and pregnancy tracking at no extra cost. During this three-minute wait, the user is offered a variety of options to help ease anxiety, including: Calm Me: Relaxing visual content to ease her nerves and/or anxiety; Educate Me: Content that informs her on fertility and pregnancy; and Entertain Me: Videos and content to help distract and entertain her. Once the test is taken, the three-minute waiting period still needs to happen. You can also store your test results if you’re still trying to get pregnant and want a record of your fertility.

After the wait’s over, the user must then enter a secure code to access the result. Simple reminders of appointments, a way to keep track of questions you may have for your doctor, as well as a host of online resources concerning pregnancy are also available. From there, if you’re pregnant, the app will give you estimated delivery dates and then will provide you with useful info throughout the pregnancy term. “The App eliminates guesswork by forecasting your next period, calculating your most fertile days, estimating how far along you are and predicting your due date”.
