D.C.’s Bad Brains perform with Foo Fighters in NYC
Foo Fighters were scheduled to perform two nights at Wembley Stadium and a headline appearance at Glastonbury Festival as part of a European tour, but the shows were cancelled after Dave Grohl broke his leg at a show in Sweden on June 12th.

For the Foo Fighters, that’s unapologetic rock “n” roll – with moments rife with musical nerdery thrown in for good measure.
Dave Grohl wasn’t going to let a little thing like a broken leg interfere with giving the best of himself at Fenway Park Saturday night.
Dave Grohl’s show-opening wail. Grohl then joked, “It’s sure as hell when we learned how to party”.
In a show with multiple peaks, among the highs were the trips back to the beginning, including the poppy bopper “Big Me” – dedicated to the road crew that fashioned Grohl’s throne – as well as a cathartic rip through “I’ll Stick Around”. They earned their keep.
Now, the Foo Fighters will return to play The National Bowl in Milton Keynes on September 5 and 6 with guest Iggy Pop, and Edinburgh’s BT Murrayfield Stadium on September 8 with openers Royal Blood and Honeyblood. In between head banging from his throne, Grohl talked to fans from the stage, and peppered the crowd with hilarious anecdotes and appreciation.
THE first of Foo Fighters’ two night stand at the National Bowl in Milton Keynes has officially sold out.

The Foos surprised fans by wheeling out “one of their best old friends”, none other than Red Hot Chili Pepper’s drummer Chad Smith (as opposed to that other Chad Smith from the Anchorman movies) to deliver an all-star rendition of Faces’ classic Stay With Me, written by Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood.
