Manziel finally spotted, shows up for exit meetings

The latest report says the Cleveland Browns quarterback wore a disguise and used an alias while partying there. Oh, yeah, it gets weirder. Sports reported Saturday night that the former Heisman Trophy victor was seen gambling in Las Vegas.

Manziel also introduced himself as “Billy” in trying to keep the ruse up.

Manziel was back in Cleveland on Monday for his exit interview but did not speak with the media, so he still has yet to give his side of the story, but he is getting mocked on Twitter.

There were no details, though, about Manziel’s whereabouts this past weekend, or why he missed Sunday morning’s scheduled meeting about his concussion. He reportedly was at the Browns’ facility on Saturday morning, but he was not there on Sunday morning, as required. “I don’t think structure is quite as important as right people in the right place and everybody understanding their roles and working well together”, he said. “Haven’t talked to him”.

The name’s Billy, Billy Football… actually I don’t have a surname..

When asked, the Browns said that they do not know whether Manziel was in Vegas Saturday night. King also said Manziel wants to play for the Dallas Cowboys in his home state of Texas.

He was listed as inactive for Sunday’s game against the Steelers due to a concussion.

Apparently nobody ever sat Johnny Manziel down and spelled that out for him – and the Cleveland Browns took the hit for it.

But as always, Manziel was a topic of conversation. He used the hashtag (hash)SaturdayNights. Offensive lineman Joel Bitonio spoke for many when he said part of the blame for Farmer’s and Pettine’s respective removals fell on the players, too.

“Here is a guy that has an National Football League skillset”, Pettine said. You root for him, but there are problems there. I know they’re bringing in a new regime and maybe for Johnny himself, if they give him a chance, it’s going to be a fresh start for him in that aspect. “I think that is his goal and that is everything he laid out for us in the meeting”.

Manziel spent 10 weeks in a rehab facility last winter specializing in drug and alcohol abuse.
