The Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 release date is getting closer by the day, assuming we aren’t forced to wait out any last minute launch delays, and Electronic Arts is preparing to a host a Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 multiplayer beta to ensure the game (and its servers) are ready for launch. The full game then launches on 23rd February 2016. Next month, the series will be back with Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 and a brand new trailer has been made available online today. Additionally, players will be able to play King of the Hill-style mode, Flag of Power. There will also be select variants including the Grass Effect Z7-Mech for a limited time.
All you need to do to access the beta is download it from the Xbox Live Marketplace or PlayStation Store on January 14. The beta includes a number of maps and modes, and characters, and the all-new Backyard Battleground environment.

All this will take place on four new maps: Moon Base Z, Frosty Creek, Z-Tech Factory and Seeds of time. With fresh lawn-inspiring modes featuring plants on the attack, players can go on the offensive as the plants in an all-new 24-player Herbal Assault mode, or rally the zombies together and defend against the plants in the 4-player co-op mode, Graveyard Ops.
