The winning numbers drawn Wednesday night were: 02-11-47-62-63, Powerball: 17, Power Play: 3.
Southeast Texans lined up at convenience stores Wednesday for their shot at one of the Powerball Jackpot’s largest prizes in game history, $500 million. Feeling lucky? The odds of winning the jackpot are 1: 292,201,338. Hoosiers have won 38 jackpots, including an incredible back-to-back run in April 2011, when scientist and Hoosier native turned Texas resident Bill Swanson won a $74 million jackpot and plumbers Michael Reardon and Darin Fox subsequently cashed in with a $221 million win in Clarksville. The estimated Powerball jackpot for Wednesday night has soared to $500 million. While the big prize seems so far away, die-hard lottery players know all it takes is that one time for your numbers to hit. The jackpot would be the sixth-largest ever in North America.
According to ABC News, the previous largest Powerball jackpot was $590.5 million in May 2013.
A Mega Millions jackpot reached $656 million in March 2012.

Powerball is played across 44 states and the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. For some comparison, the chance of being struck by lightning in a year is about one in 960,000. In this case, when you have the chance to be $500 million dollars richer, why not buy a $2 lottery ticket? “They have been coming here for 20 years or more”.
