LG launches new K series smartphones at CES 2016
But at CES 2016, LG introduced a new design approach with its latest pair of handsets, the K10 and K7, which sport a different look compared to LG’s string of devices over the past year, like the high-end V10 and G4 flagship. The new line of phones feature advanced camera technology, some of the user interface/experience features found in LG’s premium phone models, and a contemporary design.

Synchronized with the LG K7, the company also launched the K10 which is the more powerful of the two and which will be available in three variants.
LG has just announced yet another lineup of affordable Android smartphones, the K series. These smartphones will be the first to follow the company’s new “glossy pebble design language” which incorporates a curved, modern finish, 2.5D arc glass in a form free of “button clutter”. The back of the smartphones have a woven pattern that presumably helps with better grip.
In the camera department, the LG K7 will give you the choice between an 8MP or 5MP rear camera while the front-facing snapper is listed at 5MP.
“Customers equate the LG name with great smartphone imaging technology and we are committed to delivering on that flattering expectation”, added Cho.
Both of these phones feature Gesture Shot and Gesture Interval Shot, which is an easier way of taking selfies. Closing one’s hand twice automatically activates Gesture Interval Shot, which takes four consecutive photos. The K7 smartphone also arrives in two variants such as 3G and 4G LTE supporting variants.
The K10 will be available in white, indigo, and gold, while the K7 will swap the indigo for black. The 3G variant comes powered by a quad-core processor which is clocked at 1.3GHz while the 4G LTE model is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core SoC processor. Plus, the handset will be released as 4G LTE-capable or 3G-capable, depending on the market of release.
The amount of RAM in the LG K10 can be 1GB/1.5GB/2GB, and the onboard storage can be 8GB/16GB. The camera for the LTE is a Rear 13 MP with front 8 MP or 5 MP, and for the 3G, it is Rear 8 MP/Front 8 MP or 5 MP. RAM options include 2GB, 1.5GB, and 1GB, with 8/16GB for storage. The smartphone maker has not yet confirmed the price and availability of the handsets.
