Xiaomi confirms launch date of Redmi 3

Redmi 2 is expected to be cost somewhere around Rs 8,000 and its leaked images do not show any kind of fingerprint sensor on the body. The confirmation comes from a teaser that Xiaomi posted on its official Weibo account. It seems like Xiaomi may launch a premium version of the device with a textured back along with the one which cleared TENAA at their event on 12 January. The company shared a Redmi 3 teaser quite recently, confirming the design of the phone’s back, and the date when will they announce this handset.

Apart from the aforementioned information, Xiaomi has not revealed any details on the Redmi 3 smartphone.

What was striking about the teaser is that it hinted that the Xiaomi Redmi 3 would have a full metal body, which is quickly becoming commonplace in smartphones.

Day after confirming launch date of Mi5, Chinese handset maker Xiaomi has now confirmed that the much awaited Redmi 3 handset will be released on Tuesday. Speculations indicate that the chipset will feature an octa-core processor that will work at 1.5 GHz. The company has now confirmed that the Redmi 3 will have a massive 4,100mAh battery inside. We expect the Redmi 3 to come with a 5-megapixel camera in the front as well.

In the photography department, it sports a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel selfie camera, and connectivity options such as 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11, Global Positioning System and Bluetooth.
