The jackpot will continue to increase, with the next draw to be held on Saturday, it said. The victor will receive 30 annual payments of approximately $23.3 million each, with the first payment made shortly after the ticket is validated.

The cash option is estimated to be about $428.4 million.

The previous biggest jackpot ever was a $656 million Mega Millions prize won in 2012.
