Guns N’ Roses and LCD Soundsystem, two of the most influential bands in recent decades, will both get back together for the Coachella music festival in April.

Another major reunion brings back Guns N Roses, whose most iconic members Axl Rose and Slash have apparently squashed a 20-year beef leading up to yesterday’s announcement.
Slash confirmed his involvement on Twitter with a link to a picture of the Guns N’ Roses logo super-imposed over a picture of Coachella. Bassist McKagan joined GNR shortly after its formation and remained until 1997.
Rose, who abruptly cancelled an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday, had teased fans last weekend by refusing to confirm reunion rumours. LCD Soundsystem will be the show’s headliner on both Fridays and will be followed by performers Ellie Goulding, Sufjan Stevens, and several others.
The festival is scheduled to take place April 15-17 and April 22-24. “”Guns N” Roses is headlining Coachella 2016!”

Five years later, on Christmas Eve, the band released their first new song since the split – titled Christmas Will Break Your Heart. Murphy explained that he approached his former bandmates to ask their opinion on the matter, who agreed that a new LCD Soundsystem album would be the better option.
The launch of Coachella at the Empire Polo Club is tied to a 1993 Pearl Jam concert that was performed there as a result of the band having a dispute with Ticketmaster and not wanting to play in nearby Los Angeles.
