Bush on Christie: ‘I think I’m much better looking’
Republican presidential candidate New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie speaks during the CNN republican presidential debate at The Venetian Las Vegas on December 15, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada. His pathway beyond New Hampshire is littered with land mines, from the crucial southern states where he has limited operations to the overall lack of enthusiasm.

“I met a lot of people that night, and ever since, I’m getting more people coming up saying ‘I’m voting for you, ‘” Christie says.
Trump and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, meanwhile, unveiled new television ads, both focusing on keeping America safe and defeating ISIS. His shorthand version: “Showtime is fun”, meaning it’s now time to get serious. “The state’s credit rating is the second lowest in the country and has dropped nine times under his watch”.
Republican presidential candidate, New Jersey Gov. Gov. Chris Christie shakes hands with students during a campaign stop at a college student convention, Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, in Manchester, N.H.
“I will also warn you that I’m not running from prom king I’m not looking to be the most popular guy in the world, I’m looking to be the most respected guy in the world”, he said.
As governor, Christie took on teachers unions in a Democratic state, and tackled public pensions. It’s a format where his bold personality shines; he cracks jokes, occasionally argues with questioners, and often spends more than two hours talking with voters. Last week, Christie blasted Rubio for his missed votes in the Senate, and has frequently lobbed criticism at the Senator for having a short list of accomplishments in office. Ted Cruz, another Republican candidate for the presidential nomination. “I’m not afraid of these emotions – God’s sakes I’m from New Jersey, how could I be afraid of anger and frustration?”
In response to questions about Iran and Syria, Christie said his strategy would not be to act unilaterally to effect regime change, but to be unequivocal about US intentions as a means to building a coalition of allies. “New Jersey has some of the toughest gun laws in the country”. They see his body of work in New Jersey as a gold mine of potential attack ads they can deploy.
Christie is positioned for a bounce in popularity in Iowa as signs grow that Republicans here are giving him a fresh look. “I think every successful campaign is about tomorrow, not about yesterday… voters don’t vote on what you did”. “It’s good to be attacked”.
Weingart said: “It makes sense for a governor to use executive action to do what they think is the right thing to do, particularly when the Legislature won’t follow their lead”. Rubio promised, “If I am our nominee, voters will be reminded of it time and time again”. “I just say whatever best serves me at the moment, even if it’s a total lie and contradicts what I’ve said in the past”.
Christie told Ingraham that he believes he will be one of four candidates who survives beyond New Hampshire – along with Trump, Cruz and Rubio.
“You want someone on that stage against Hillary Clinton who has been through the wars, not somebody who’s a first-term United States senator who has never had a tough race in his life”, Christie said Wednesday on the ” Laura Ingraham Show”.
