Clinton, Sanders aim for victory in Nevada caucuses
“I want to help families do the work that they’re already doing but which is so difficult” in taking care of family members, Clinton said at a campaign stop in Sioux City, Iowa. “When it really mattered, Sen”. She added, “A president who can get the job done”.

In her speech Wednesday evening, Clinton reminded voters she was raising millions of dollars for state parties in an attempt to strengthen Democrats up-and-down the ballot.
And in a pre-buttal to Sanders’ speech, Clinton chief financial officer Gary Gensler, the former head of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, prodded Sanders to endorse Clinton’s Wall Street plan.
“My opponent says that as a senator she told bankers to “cut it out” and end their destructive behavior”, Sanders told a crowd of supporters in midtown Manhattan. “The only way that Democrats win elections, is when we have a large voter turnout”. But he remains concerned about Sanders’ electability.
Both Clinton and Sanders have sought to build upon the 1993 Family and Medical Leave Act, a law signed by President Bill Clinton that required employers to offer workers up to 12 weeks of unpaid family and medical leave.
Clinton and Sanders were the main events at the dinner, but all three Democratic candidates – including former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley – tried to court their party’s faithful at the Nevada Democrats “Battle Born/Battleground” First in the West Caucus Dinner.
O’Malley used his speech to call for the extension of protective status to refugees from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador, and more broadly touted his record on immigration.
Part of her goal is to make a personal connection with voters over issues, as she puts it, “that keep families up at night”.
If they renege on that nomination in the face of Trump’s overwhelming support – and if he has the votes to warrant it as many polls have indicated he has – then it’s nearly a given Trump would forge ahead with an Independent campaign, and it would be a significant one.
Sloan Hickson, a first-time voter from Henderson, Nevada, said he had come to the dinner with his mother, a Clinton supporter, to see what the different options were.
He also said that if he doesn’t win in New Hampshire, it’s not over.
State Sen. James Sanders Jr. endorsed Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders for president last week.
“Do I think Hillary Clinton or many other senators have shown the courage that is necessary to stand up the Wall Street power?” “Think hard about the people who are presenting themselves to you, their experience, their qualifications, their positions, but particularly for those of us who are Democrats, their electability”.
Michael Briggs, Sanders’ spokesman, quickly issued a statement in response to Clinton that questioned her ability to generate enough excitement to beat someone like Republican frontrunner Donald Trump. In order to get them to do that, Sanders said, they have to have a candidate they’re excited to turn out to support.
Bernie Sanders to dismantle the nation’s largest banks if he was elected president received glowing praise from a Senate colleague from a neighboring state.

Democrats say Sanders appears to have made a more emotional connection with his supporters. In an interview with the Queens Tribune, Sanders’ spoke on his reasons for supporting the 74-year-old presidential candidate, citing his platform as one that gels perfectly with the concerns of the people of Southeast Queens as well as minorities across the entire country.
