Powerball is played 44 states as well as the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

In case you didn’t catch it, 1 in 292 million: those are your odds of winning.

On Wednesday, the Powerball numbers drawn were 2, 11, 47, 62, 63 and 17.

Since someone already won $1 million at this place, people from out of the area are coming to get their Powerball tickets. None of those were in Kansas.

Richard Lustig claims to be a seven-time lottery grand prize victor and author of “Learn How To Increase Your Chances of Winning The Lottery”.

The husband and wife say they rarely play the lottery, but a big jackpot got their attention.

$500 million dollars! That’s the estimated jackpot for Wednesday night’s Powerball lottery.

“This is the sixth largest jackpot of any USA lottery game on record and the fourth largest Powerball jackpot”, said Gary Grief, executive director of the Texas Lottery and chair of the Powerball game group.

No Powerball ticket holder had all six numbers in the previous drawing on Saturday, although more than 2 million ticket holders won smaller prizes totaling almost $21 million, according to the lottery website.

Tonight’s upfront cash payout for the jackpot is $306 million, officials said. “I would buy one of the casinos in Atlantic City and put a whole bunch of people back to work”, said one customer. The winning ticket was purchased by Gloria Mackenzie of Zephryhills, Fla.

In the past 13 years, 16 Powerball jackpot winners have bought their tickets in Pennsylvania, more than any other state. Winning tickets were sold in Kansas, Illinois and Maryland.
