Bush lauds Trump’s business success, sticks to ‘jerk’ line
It’s a small shift in tone for Bush, who had been previously adamant that Trump wouldn’t capture the Republican nomination.

Scott appeared on MSNBC’s Morning Joe and Bush was a guest on influential conservative host Hugh Hewitt’s radio program.
While some in Florida suggested his daughter received special treatment from the judge overseeing her rehab, who had ties to a group that had received a state grant, Bush said: “She got extra treatment, as it relates to the scrutiny, and it was a hard time for my wife and for me”.
Bush did, however, warn that not every member of his family harbored at least some positive feelings for Trump.
Bush tells New Hampshire voters that Trump is rightly proud of his financial success, and that he’s “loosened things up a little bit”. “She went through hell, so did her mom, and so did I”, he wrote.
Self-described as a policy nerd and tagged as “low energy” by Donald Trump, Jeb Bush is reaching deeper to show voters the man inside as he fights for his political survival ahead of New Hampshire’s Republican presidential primary. He also cited his willingness to take on Donald Trump as well as Hillary Clinton.
Londonderry, New Hampshire (CNN)Jeb Bush is claiming one area where he’s superior to rival Chris Christie: He’s “much better looking”.
“It’s very debilitating when you have a loved one who is struggling, and you can’t control it. You have to love them, but you also have to make it clear you cannot enable the behavior that gets them in trouble”.
But – and it’s a big “but” – Bush said he’s troubled by a lot of things Trump has said. “I volunteered for Jeb Bush, and when his folks needed a place in the Upstate to have an event, my diner was a good fit”. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and technology executive Carly Fiorina spoke about how frequently they meet people on the trail in New Hampshire who share their struggles with addiction or talk about family members who lost their lives to drugs. But as the economic and foreign policy travails of his presidency have faded in the national memory, the elder Bush brother has gained in popularity, with a slim majority of Americans holding a favorable opinion of him as of last summer.
That was the beginning of the former Florida governor’s lengthy explanation. I think he’s calm and level-headed.
“I think when you’re asked about the nuclear triad, and you’re running for president of the United States, you’d better have a good answer”, he said. He said he is here to make the case that proven leadership is needed during these unsafe times.
“When somebody disparages a person with disabilities, that sets me off”, he said.
