Humans in attendance can listen in on wireless headphones. And just what is priority seating at this kind of concert?

Laurie Anderson emerged in downtown NY in the 1970s and over the course of 30 years she has distinguished herself as a multifaceted artist addressing life, politics, social issues and technology through her use of spoken word and storytelling, projected film and video, photography, graphics, sculpture and electronic and instrumental music.
Anderson composed a set which was performed at a frequency suitable for dogs only.
Anderson has been performing since the early 1970s and had her maiden feature-length film titled, “Heart of a Dog” released previous year.
Heart of a Dog has screened at the Telluride, Venice, and Toronto Film Festivals to critical praise, and was also viewed at the New York Film Festival, this past October. “That was one of the happiest moments of my life”.
The series, presented by Times Square Arts and the Times Square Advertising Coalition, has in the past included works by Andy Warhol, Bjork and Yoko Ono. A magical event, in the heart of the city, on the steps of Duffy Square…a Midnight Moment, Laurie Anderson’s mesmerizing music.
Dogs are often characterised as being beautifully wild compared to their more respectable counterparts: cats.
While many dogs reacted – including New York Police Department German shepherds invited along with their officers – others stayed silent or looked puzzled. “I think everyone had a good sense of humour about it”, she said.
By the time Anderson started to perform, however, Fozzie settled down.

“Anything that’s dog-friendly I’ll go to, even if it’s midnight and freezing out”, she said.
