The Ohio River rivals have such a deep dislike for each other that they traded nasty words and tweets before they met at Paul Brown Stadium on December 13, and then scuffled on the field during pregame warmups. Williams did return to the sideline and was able to jog and put full weight on the ankle, but he did not return to the game. It’s something Williams takes great pride in, and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger described Williams’ abilities in pass protection as “terrific”, via ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. Both are shifty backs with good burst that are looking to break off a long run. Tate managed 19 yards on five carries, with a fumble mixed in. If Pittsburgh wins in Cincinnati on Saturday, there is a chance the running back could play in the Divisional Round. I think he’s one of those guys that everybody is excited about seeing play. The Steelers had 116 yards on the ground against the Bengals in Week 8. Not that Toussaint needs it. The 25-year-old understands he’s doesn’t have the resume of injured stars Le’Veon Bell or DeAngelo Williams. Williams, after all, gained just eight yards on five carries before he exited the game, six of which came on the play on which he suffered his injury. With Bell rehabbing a busted right knee and Williams still in a walking boot dealing with a bum right foot, Pittsburgh will turn to Toussaint and journeyman Jordan Todman to carry the bulk of the load against the AFC North champion Bengals. As a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars, he would end up starting 3 games and rushing 108 times for 442 yards and 2 TD’s in 2013 and 2014, tacking on 314 yards and 2 TD’s in the passing game.
