The fireman Ian Oldham, 43, who saved a woman from the frozen ice at nature reserve in Nottinghamshire got bravery award for his ultimate bravery.
Actually, a women walking over ice with her high heels and every stroke of heels lead to reduce in hardness of ice and finally few minutes later, she went inside the icy water when a large block of ice got broken up. Suddenly, Ian jump in it and saved her life.
The fireman, Ian says that we could hear the ice breaking sound with every step. We knew at any time she could go through icy water.
A spokesman says that, Ian is the real hero who put his life to save someone’s. But the happiest part is that, Nottinghamshire Fire Service has awarded him for his ultimate bravery without thinking of his own life. And the woman got admitted due to shock after rescue at some nearby hospital.
