Hiddink: Oscar, Diego Costa clash ‘2 bulls chesting a bit’

Falcao, 29, has been sidelined with a “muscular injury” and has not played since the home defeat against Liverpool on the last day of October. The English top flight is taking a break from league play this week, and instead fans are treated to FA Cup action over the weekend.

Hiddink also downplayed a confrontation between Diego Costa and Oscar in training in which both players came to blows.

According to the British media, Oscar produced a knee-high lunge to Costa’s legs after the Spain global had initially gone in hard on him.

The training ground incident between Oscar and Diego Costa was described as “two wolves bumping chests” by Chelsea interim manager Guus Hiddink.

“We had an intense, very sharp training session that’s close on the edge”.

“His challenge from behind was overdone, especially when you know Oscar who is not the biggest tackler in the team”.

They stumbled over the ground, stood up as a normal reaction and chested a bit, without a more serious reaction.

“It was the threat of two bulls”. He wanted to speak.

Hiddink said Oscar apologized in front of the squad, and that Oscar and Costa “looked at each other and started laughing”. “I think it’s ok”. We must be careful because a player must not fall again after twice being injured in a physical trap. Hiddink, nevertheless, suggests that he can also use a young player to fill the gap in his attack, as the club face three games in the space of just nine days. “If they solved this as they have done, then it’s flawless”.

Chelsea can put their Premier League troubles behind them and kick-start the Guus Hiddink era as the FA Cup provides a new competition as the Blues host Scunthorpe United at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, January 10 (Monday AEDT). I’m happy with the restart of the team but the next step is very important, and that is why a win against Palace was important. Then there are two targets left and one is the FA Cup.

With Loic Remy, Eden Hazard and Radamel Falcao all sidelined through injury, Chelsea may be tempted to call upon youth to help fill the void.
