Ted Cruz, Rand Paul Mock Marco Rubio’s ‘High-Heeled Booties’
Rubio, who is lagging behind Cruz in the polls, has been more forceful in criticizing Cruz while they’ve crisscrossed Iowa.

Russell Moore, president of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention, said Trump, Cruz and Rubio are appealing to disparate camps of evangelicals. Asked whether he has sought the endorsements of John McCain and Mitt Romney, the last two winners of the New Hampshire primary who remain popular in the Granite State, Rubio said he hasn’t “talked to either one of them about ever endorsing me”.
As far as Rubio’s outreach to the “Billy Graham” wing, this week the presidential hopeful announced a religious liberty advisory board that includes Rick Warren, the founding pastor at Saddleback Church.
“Mike Huckabee: 5’10” I guess.
“The job is not described in the Constitution as “entertainer in chief” or “commentator in chief” or even, frankly, ‘economist in chief.’ It is described as commander in chief”, Rubio said.
“The goal of our life is to cooperate with God’s plan”, Rubio says in the ad. “To those who much as been given, much is expected”.
Rubio’s remarks came during his first major foreign policy speech since the Paris attacks and just weeks before early primary states start voting. He added that he’s also seen a positive reaction to New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and his campaign.
While Rubio is now sitting pretty in second place in New Hampshire, trailing Donald Trump by an average 13 points and just ahead of Ted Cruz, critics and political observers have long debated the G.O.P. wunderkind’s confounding aversion to campaigning in the establishment-friendly state.
In the latest Quinnipiac University Iowa poll released December 14, Cruz leads the Hawkeye State with the evangelical vote at 34%.
“He has united a lot of people”, Vander Plaats said.
It’s not only how Cruz says what he says, Hardin told me.
“I will not only restore the intelligence programs Obama and Congress have destroyed, I will strengthen them”.
“Indeed, the tragic attack in Benghazi, where four Americans were killed, including the first American Ambassador killed in the line of service since the Jimmy Carter administration, occurred as a direct result of this administration’s failed policies in Libya”, Cruz said. He attended a Rubio town hall in Marshalltown on Wednesday and said he gets why Bush and Rubio are going after each other even though they’re both running way behind. “That turns off a larger segment”. In this January 6, 2016, photo, supporters of Republican presidential candidate Sen. She shot back with a picture of her 3.5-inch heeled boots. Jim Risch, R-Idaho, who did not support the bill.
Rubio initially told the Des Moines Register on January 7 that he hadn’t heard the boot-related chatter, but later evidently felt the need to address the matter when a rally attendee said he was glad Rubio made a “better shoe choice today”, Politico reports.

Cruz on Thursday also said he would not seek a declaratory judgment from a judge to clear up any question about his eligibility given his Canadian birth.
