Van Gaal insists United taking FA Cup seriously

Guardiola announced on Tuesday that his aim is to move to England when he leaves Bayern Munich at the end of the season.

Louis van Gaal believes Manchester United’s dressing room has become too cosy at times this season – and wants a new dimension reflected in today’s game with Sheffield United.

Louis van Gaal’s team endured now familiar struggles in front of their home fans and had to wait until injury time to seal a 1-0 win, with Rooney converting a penalty after Dean Hammond brought down the lively substitute Memphis Depay.

“I think the atmosphere in our dressing room is very good, maybe too good because they are always protecting the dressing room, their colleagues”.

It was only two years ago when the Sheffield club reached the semi-final after a run in that saw the Blades record victories over Premier League Aston Villa and Fulham, as well as over Nottingham Forest and Charlton Athletic, before eventually succumbing to Hull City at Wembley.

This was adidas speaking, the organisation which was also happy to reveal in the same interview given by Herr Hainer that they are making a fortune by selling the shirts of this major global football club – selling many more than they actually expected to during the last few months.

“I have an interest in him, of course, otherwise I would not take him back”.

“I have received a contract of three years and these are the same goals as when I came here”.

“Manchester United should beat a League One side but that’s the beauty of the FA Cup and especially the third round”, Adkins said.

United kick off their FA Cup campaign with a third-round tie at home to Sheffield United on Saturday on the back of a first win in nine games against Swansea City last weekend.

The United boss has started asking his players for more input with regard to tactics and game plans in recent weeks in an attempt to turn the club’s fortunes around.

They were treated to a tenth successive first half in which their team failed to score.

And beleaguered boss van Gaal is targeting a decent run to ease the pressure on his position and set up the chance of a first piece of silverware of his Old Trafford reign.

It’s only been a decade since Man U won the FA Cup, but they’re still thirsty to add to their impressive 11 FA championships. I said in advance to the boys, “The only thing that counts is we are in the second (fourth) round”, and we did it. However, they’ll be without Adnan Januzaj, reports Sky Sports. I said it would be very hard to play matches in Dortmund and unfortunately I was right.

“In the second it was a little bit better, we created more”.
