The Nuggets’ team doctor said Faried was taken to the hospital with a lower cervical vertebra issue and would stay overnight for precautionary reasons while the team flew home to prepare for a game Sunday against Portland.
But Sunday, he took to Instagram, saying he’s doing “much better” and he won’t let the apparent neck injury keep him out too long.
Barnes, who has missed 16 straight games over five weeks with a left ankle sprain, is listed as probable for the game, as is forward Brandon Rush, who missed the Warriors’ Saturday night win over the Denver Nuggets with right-hamstring tightness.
The Golden State Warriors look to continue their stellar season tonight when they host the Denver Nuggets at 10:30PM ET. “We’ll see what the problem is and we’ve got a game tomorrow”.
Curry went through his regular pregame routine after missing the past two games, including the team’s second defeat all season Wednesday at Dallas.
He leads the National Basketball Association with six triple doubles and is the first player to record back-to-back triple doubles twice in a season since thhe 2007-08 sason when LeBron James and Jason Kidd both did it twice. “I wanted to get the win real bad”.
Golden State (31-2) beat Denver for the fourth straight time overall and at Oracle Arena. It was great having him out there.
LaMarcus Aldridge had 24 points, Kawhi Leonard added 22 and the Spurs made a season-high 13 3-pointers in avenging an earlier loss to the Rockets. However, Tim Duncan was held scoreless for the first time in his 1,360-game career. He scored three points and was 0-for-5 shooting from the field.
The dire injury situation was good news for one player_little-utilized forward Jason Thompson, who has seen action in just 16 of the first 32 games and has averaged just six minutes when he did play, usually at the end of blowouts.
The Utah Jazz edged the Memphis Grizzlies 92-87, the Boston Celtics lost 100-97 against the Brooklyn Nets, while the Los Angeles Clippers disposed of the Philadelphia 76ers 130-99.
