Dwyane Wade, who scored 27 points, beat the buzzer to send the game to an additional period as the Heat wiped out an 18-point deficit. Golden State has enough talent to still win games without Curry and the important thing is having him at 100 percent for the playoffs so resting the injury should at least be a consideration right now.

As long as the training staff and Curry agree that he’s cleared to play, Walton said the Warriors will keep allowing the point guard to log minutes.

Curry missed two games and then played less than 15 minutes in his return to the lineup Saturday before leaving with a bruised left shin.

“It’s just frustrating and annoying and any other adjective you want to throw in there”, Curry said, per Diamond Leung of the San Jose Mercury News.

Curry and Klay Thompson scored 30 points apiece and Marreese Speights had a season-high 15 off the bench to help the Warriors sweep the season series from Charlotte. The word is that Curry would have to sit out about four weeks in order to let the injury fully heal, according to Rusty Simmons of the Sac Francisco Chronicle.

While it is not surprising to see the defending National Basketball Association champion Golden State Warriors in possession of a three-game winning streak, it certainly qualifies as stunning to view the Los Angeles Lakers with one as well. “I wasn’t going to put him back out there at first, but he was pretty adamant about it”.

During the game, TV viewers picked up on one Lakers “fan” at the Staples Center who seemed to decide it was time to switch sides mid-game.

The Warriors were in command for much of the first half, leading by as many as 12 before ultimately settling for a 62-54 advantage at intermission.

The lone bright spot for the Lakers was Jordan Clarkson, who had 23 points and 5 rebounds. Rookie guard D’Angelo Russell sat out with a sore throat, missing a game for the first time in his career.

Nevertheless, Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors continue to chug along in this record-breaking season. “They have a high IQ, and they capitalize on the lower IQs”.

Overall, the Warriors made 46.5 percent of their shots to 31.9 percent for the Lakers. Luckily, it wasn’t considered a serious knock, and he only missed two games. Stephen Curry added 17 points and six assists, while Draymond Green filled the stat sheet with nine points, 12 rebounds and five assists. Green commented during his post-game interview over the weekend that he learns the routes for all the positions on the Warriors players. He already tied the Warriors record for consecutive triple-doubles, set 56 years ago by Tom Gola. Los Angeles visits the Sacramento Kings on Thursday, while Golden State plays the Trail Blazers at Portland on Friday. Coach Luke Walton said it’s part of their goal to minimize travel weariness….
