Each Rift comes with a copy of the platform VR game Lucky’s Tale by Playful, but pre-orders will also include a copy of EVE: Valkyrie as well. Oculus Touch controllers are not included as those have been delayed to 2H 2016.

The Rift has just gone up for pre-order now, and Oculus will start shipping it from March 28.

(Looks like they’re already sold out, next batch available April!) Selling like hotcakes, now May!

So what will this high cost of entry mean for the Oculus Rift, and virtual reality technology on the whole? What’s more, over 20 of those games will be exclusive to the Rift platform.

Pricing was revealed at the time preorders went live, previously said to be upwards of $350 United States dollars, somewhere “roughly in that ballpark”, according to this interview with Luckey.

The next thing that you need to do now, is check whether you have a PC to actually support Rift. “More than 100 virtual reality games and other experiences are coming this year”, Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg said in a post on the social networking site.

The headset will ship with a sensor, Xbox controller, cables, and Oculus Remote.

The VR headset needs a compatible PC to let you enter in the VR world, so if you do not own one yet, add that as the additional cost.
