CB Adam Jones rips ref on Instagram, then deletes post
ESPN first reported the possibility of punishments to Burfict and Porter. Burfict was flanked by several of his Bengals’ teammates.

He was also docked $25,000 in 2014 for twisting the ankles of Panthers players, while head hunting led to a pair of fines the previous year. Burfict’s brutal hit on Antonio Brown, who suffered a head injury and is in the concussion protocol, brought the first flag and, later, an angry, profanity-laced protest by Jones on social media (it’s NSFW), who accused Brown of flopping. “They deemed that to be a hit to the head I guess, and others not today”. He was penalized for 15 yards, which was all the Steelers needed to kick a game-winning field goal.
The vision of Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict and cornerback Adam Jones self-destructing on the field in the closing seconds of a playoff game will be etched in the minds of every fan, coach and player who thinks of a team choking in the playoffs.
Adam “Pacman” Jones took to Instagram last night after the Cincinnati Bengals lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers to vent his frustrations with the referees. In the end, the Steelers prevailed 18-16. Add the fact that Lewis has never won a playoff game in 13 seasons in Cincinnati and it might have escalated into an unsolvable issue.
Playoff battles will always have emotions running on high, but there was ugliness throughout. Keep in mind that Cincy was already deep in Steelers territory and could have just kneeled down three times to make Pittsburgh use all its timeouts, while giving themselves a field goal opportunity.
And yes the guy can coach or else he wouldn’t have guided his team to seven postseason appearances. Marvin Lewis is 0-7 and has only come close to winning one game past the regular season. The absence of his starting quarterback Andy Dalton will work in his favor as the Cincinnati Bengals front office decides his fate.
Lewis deserves to be fired.

Of course, Hill might not have played a pivotal role in the game’s fateful moments if Giovani Bernard hadn’t been knocked out of the game by a helmet-to-helmet hit by Shazier. Perhaps the biggest injustice of this loss is that it gives people false hope in Marvin Lewis.
