ABC preparing to film ‘Marvel’s Most Wanted’ pilot

“We’re absolutely doing that [pilot]”, Lee told the crowd of TV critics, which included The Mary Sue. ABC announced the series, then backed out. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. producers Jeffrey Bell and Paul Zbyszewski co-created the project and are co-writing the pilot, so there’s a solid team working on Marvel’s Most Wanted behind the scenes. It’s still unknown if the show will split off from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the form of a back-door pilot, or use another device to send Bobbi Morse and Hunter off on new adventures.

We love the script. We think it’s going to be great.

Of course the two things aren’t directly related, and Marvel’s Most Wanted could make the network’s lineup even if its parent show was finished.

Sadly, Lee didn’t have many other updates to share about Marvel’s Most Wanted.

Last we heard of the series, which spins off Marvel characters Bobbi Morse (Palicki) and Lance Hunter (Nick Blood), no decision had been made as to how, or when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. would introduce the pilot, if at all.

Lee also took the opportunity to tout the upcoming second season of Marvel’s Agent Carter, and the Netflix Marvel series. He added: “I can’t speak to what happens beyond May, but I’m feeling good about SHIELD”. Lee today said that he was very happy with the current seasons of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter. More information about both the plot and release date may come when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns March 8.
